Participants will get hands on approach to learning about all kinds of animals, and therefore developing a greater understanding of the species and creating a life long link with the love of nature and animals of all kinds. We take p[ride in being as interactive as possible with as many diffrent species of animals as possible during each and every camp week! We try to balance out every week so we are learning about all kinds of animals, not just reptiles. We also study mammalls, birds, insects, arachnids, fish, and more! Every week is something different! |  | | During the camp days spent at The Reptile Store location children will have the opportunity to work along side the trained professionals of the store. Participants can expect to develop the skills and expertise to care for all of the animals at the store including snakes of all species and sizes, turtles and tortoises, crocodilians like alligators and caimans, lizards, arachnids, amphibians and more! |  | | The children will be submerged into the animal kingdom as they experience live educational animals shows from The Reptile Man, Savannah Steve, and the rest of the Reptile Store staff. They will also participate in a snake feeding seminar, with the end results of feeding the snakes by themselves if they wish. The other shows and topics during the base day portion of the camp include Arachnids and other Creepy Crawlies, Nocturnal Hikes, Endangered Species Education, Loss of Habitat Discussion, Animals in Captivity, and more. The children will also have a chance to play games, create crafts, fill out their Jungle Journals, take photographs with animals, and study the animals in the store. The final portion of the In-store base days of the camp the children will have the opportunity to become Reptile Store Show Staff and entertain and educate their family on the animals they are presenting in a formal classroom style lecture! |  | | The field trips have been applied to the Reptile Store Summer Camp to allow the participants to learn about all animals that live on the planet, not just reptiles. The children can see, and study animals such as great carnivores like Tigers, Jaguars and Polar Bears, to Raptors like Hawks and Eagles, Primates like Gorillas and Spider Monkeys, and others. The trips consist of Toronto Zoo, African Lion Safari, Zooz Niagara, Brantford Twin Valley Zoo, Wings of Paradise Butterfly Conservatory, Niagara Falls Aviary, Niagara Falls Butterfly Conservatory, Ontario Science Center, Reptilia Zoo, Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park, Bowmanville Zoo, and Mountsberg Wildlife Centre. Some of the trips include programs by the organizations so the children can learn from their staff and their experiences. |  | | Some of the past Field Trip highlights include holding a bird of prey on your gloved hand, Interacting with a baby wolf, fox, lion, cougar, lynx or tiger, feeding a giraffe or a hippo, and being a zoo keeper for a day! The field trip locations we have chossen have been amazing for us. We pride ourselves on being able to work hand in hand with these organizations to be able to bring your children the best animal education program possible! Its an awesome feeling when you arrange something a little extra for the program, and see it happening in front of the public! |  | This summer camp program will pick your children up in the middle of the concrete jungle we live in and overwhelm them with the natural world around them. They will study thousands of species, and learn hundreds of facts about these creatures.
