COST: $175 per person. This includes all your trips and guest speakers. Your meals, and drinks however are on your own! 


Since starting our children’s summer camp program I have met a tonne of really cool people. I have enjoyed working with the children, and have also had great experiences getting to know some of the parents. I feel that when people come together because of common interests it’s inevitable that eventually your worlds will collide into at least one weekend of madness.....this is that weekend!

Due to the overwhelming amount of requests "when you going to run something for adults"? Up till now I have ignored these requests...but this year, is the year that Adult Reptile Camp is born.

Are you tired of sending you kids to the Reptile Store Summer Camp and have them come home after 1 week and know a little more than you about animals, and wildlife? Are you tired of being corrected by your children as your drive down the highway and you say "hey look little Johnny there’s a Hawk flying over there"....and Johnny looks up from his portable video game system and out the window and replies "actually that’s a Turkey Vulture" and gives you some basic information regarding the animal you originally seen? You too can be as nature savvy as your little Johnny!!

The Adult Reptile Camp is a chance for us to come together for 3 days and learn about some of these creatures. You will get a chance to do some amazing things, although you won’t be pressured into doing anything you don’t feel comfortable with. Some of the opportunities you will have include holding a many different reptiles from small crested geckos to a 12 foot Green Anaconda, holding different birds from a Green Wing Macaw to a European Barn Owl, Feeding animals including Mojo the American Alligator, and learning from some of our guest speakers, who will bring in their animals for us to check out! 

We will interact with hundreds of species, and document it all with a digital camera! After your camp experience with us has concluded you will receive a disc with all of our photos from the weekend on it! This is your keepsake that you came to our camp....and made it out alive!

Itinerary: 

Here is a brief breakdown of our schedule so far. As adults feel free to come and go as you please, as long as we know ahead of time your intentions. For instance, if you want to do the camp, but can’t give up Saturday night at Slaintes....which may be the hit of the weekend, then don’t, and we will see you again Sunday!

Friday Sept 10th 6pm-9pm at the Reptile Store. We will have a educational and interactive reptile show. We will make sure you get a chance to hold the animals, and get pictures with them. We will also do some feedings with the larger snakes, and the crocodilians.

Saturday Sept 11th- 9am-5pm Road Trip to Brantford Twin Valley Zoo. Don’t wear your best clothes....we may get dirty! Then we are off for dinner at Slaintes Irish pub in Hamilton at 5 pm.

Sunday Sept 12th- 10 am- 9 pm. Road trip to Safari Niagara! Bring your work clothes! After dinner we are going to Seaway Serpentarium in Welland to check out some venomous reptiles!

This is a must for any parents that has ever sent their kid to our summer camp, and became jealous of their opportunities! I’m looking forward to this weekend almost as much as I am looking forward to meeting and learning with your children this summer!
